You could hear a pin drop after reading this passage, what my wife calls a pew-gripper. We were going through Deuteronomy, which has some terrific points of encouragement and bold comfort, but this passage could not be ignored.
I was trying to show, in this message (1/18/2004), the practical wisdom Moses was showing as he crafted this realistic law.
