The Things You Do For Love

It was fall of 2012. My DMin qualitative study, comparing what I called “monogendered” (or same-sex) romantic relationships with ones between a man and woman, brought some revealing social facts to bear on these passages, Judges 1:11-15, 3:7-11.

 

CoupleAt that time, I was using the term “transgender” to describe marriages that spanned a man and a woman. You could do that in those days because the term wasn’t taken. Those were the days! After this, I switched to using the term, “intergendered,” which is perhaps clearer.

 

And beginning to explore the analogy here of human marriage displaying in some way the image of Persons of the divine Trinity.

 

But herein are the truths that make a marriage work and last….
