Joy to forgive and joy to be forgiven
Hang level in the balances of Love.
–Richard Garnett, De Flagello Myrteo LXII
Periodically it is important to lubricate an intergendered relationship with forgiveness. So, periodically, I gave a message in this series like this one (February of 2007) to promote this essential for marriages. The scripture is read by New York City ballerina, Karen Lacy.
Christ in Matthew 18:21-22 (using Daniel 9), gives us the way to do it, going way beyond tips to manage your anger.
But Christ’s way needs self-abandonment. As Aldous Huxley put it, “The condition of being forgiven is self-abandonment. The proud man prefers self-reproach, however painful—because the reproached self isn’t abandoned; it remains intact.”

70×7 offences. There to remind us of our forgiveness.
