Sex from Proverbs 30-Appetite or Wonder

This message comes from when I used to use the word “sex” (August, 2006). Since then, I have changed my vocabulary. And, actually, what led to that change was exegesis of passages like this one. Eventually I came to appreciate the Bible’s exaltation of this gift and thereby came to eschew its cheapening.

I find, particularly this passage, Proverbs 30:18-20, awe-inspiring on this topic. Its profundity touches on so much of our experience with the gift. For those who have a low view of physical intimacy, or who through their past can only see it as unclean, I hope that this sermon can serve as an antidote.

More than that, I offer it to help us all enter through it to know the commitment of God towards us in Jesus Christ.
