Audio podcasting comes to AffirmingGender

I greatly appreciate those of you who have followed the journey on this site, and have offered support for this vital discussion on what gender means in human relationship. Though I am limited in the output I can produce right now, I have devised a way to continue to encourage you along these lines.

This site has at times featured video content and many links to audio’s and video’s. But I have decided to do something new now, introducing audio to the site via posts. This may help meet the need that many people have today to digest content by listening as they go about their day or commute or routine chores.

To meet this audible turn, AffirmingGender.com will be curating gender-related sermons I have preached in the past. Over ministry of many years serving at different churches, I built up a number of series that highlight and inform a Biblical understanding of gender. They were called:

Gender Matters – The reality of gender in relationships

The Marriage Files – Exploring the experience of matrimony in Christ

Three in One – The Marvels of the Trinity

Intimacy for Ownership – God’s gift of covenant lovemaking to us

Transformed – Christ’s answer to gender distress

Surprisingly, many of these survive. So, why not publish them here? If you are listener, you can now get weekly reflections to accompany you as you go. I am making them available on other platforms as well, to which you may subscribe if you wish. Right now, that would be Youtube, and maybe Apple podcasts, if I can figure that out.

The first one is coming on Thursday.  And I do mean first. That is, the first sermon I ever preached on gender, from over twenty years ago.

Let me know what you think.

Any avenue of continuing to hear your voice is tops. Being able to renew my mind and stimulate my walk Christ while simultaneously washing dishes and folding laundry is glorious!
    GREAT idea.
